Set Sail Again: Ubisoft Announces Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

Ubisoft is heading back to the golden age of piracy. The publisher took the Summer Game Fest stage to announce Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a complete remaster and reimagining of the beloved 2013 classic, scheduled for a July 9, 2026 release.

This is a massive treat for players who consider the original pirate simulator to be the absolute peak of the franchise.

The Pirate King Rebuilt

Ubisoft is updating the classic adventure with modern visual and gameplay systems:

  • The Soundtrack: The trailer featured a brand-new, atmospheric rendition of the classic sea shanty "Leave Her Johnny", setting the tone for a more polished audio experience.
  • Gameplay Polish: The remaster is upgrading the naval combat mechanics, boarding physics, and visual fidelity for modern platforms.
