Sit down, take a breath, and get ready for some massive news. If you have been sleeping on Moon Studios' brutal action-RPG, it is time to wake up. During yesterday's PlayStation State of Play, the developers behind the masterpiece Ori series officially announced that No Rest for the Wicked is leaving Early Access and launching its massive 1.0 version this October.

This is the one I have been waiting for, and it is shaping up to be an absolute monster of a release. Let's dig into what Moon Studios is cooking for the full launch.

1. Leaving the Shallows of Early Access

No Rest for the Wicked has been cooking in Steam Early Access for a while, refining its gameplay and taking player feedback. But the training wheels are coming off. This October, the game will launch simultaneously on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.

If you are an Xbox Series X|S player or waiting for the Nintendo Switch 2 release, do not panic. Moon Studios has confirmed these console ports are in active development, though they will drop at a later, unannounced date. For now, PS5 and PC players get to lead the charge.

2. A Colossal Influx of Content

This is not just a simple cleanup patch to slap a 1.0 label on the game. Moon Studios is calling this the largest update in the game's history, and the list of additions is staggering:

  • Over 60 Hours of New Content: This addition pushes the total playtime of the game past the 100-hour mark.
  • New Territories: Fresh regions to explore, complete with terrifying new bosses and enemies.
  • Reimagined Class System: A complete overhaul of how classes and builds work, giving players deep customization.
  • Horde Mode: A brand-new challenge mode designed to test your combat skill to the absolute limit.

3. Lock in Your Founder's Pack

If you want to show off your early support, Moon Studios is offering an exclusive Early Access Founder's Pack.

For the PC crowd, you just need to purchase the game before July 10, 2026 to secure the pack. If you are playing on PlayStation 5, you can grab the exclusive rewards by pre-ordering the game as soon as it goes live on the PlayStation Store.
